my favorite moments from Soolip creative arts workshops
Our creative souls at Ink Play in April, 2025
By Wanda Wen
There is a moment during every Soolip Creative Arts Workshop when the room gets quiet. I believe it speaks volumes about creativity when a room of 20 or so individuals is so immersed in the act of doing that they forget where they are. It's not a silence of absence—but one of deep presence. If you listen closely, you can almost hear the hum of creativity in motion.
That quiet presence was especially palpable during our last gathering, Ink Play with artist Mariken van Heugten. It was a reminder of what happens when we allow ourselves the space to explore, to imagine, and to be moved by the act of making.
I’d love to share some photos of the workshop. I hope you will join us for a workshop soon!
